Burial / Cremation
This will normally be in a new or family–owned grave in a council cemetery or private churchyard. There is usually a burial fee which may be lower for those in the council area or church members.
If a family grave has been purchased in advance, there will most likely be paperwork (the grave lease). Please bring this to S. Clarke + Son when making arrangements.
We will organise the independent doctor to confirm cause of death and additional paperwork to be signed. Ashes can be retained, scattered or buried. Scattering can be in a garden of remembrance or at a favourite spot, (no permission is needed). Burial in a grave requires permission and a suitable memorial can be erected.
